Privacy Policy

Sampledock is an invite-only alpha application developed by Joppe Schippers, a sole proprietor based in the Netherlands.

Sampledock is currently provided as an early alpha version and access is limited to users who have been personally invited.

Account information

When creating an account, Sampledock collects your email address. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth using email one-time passwords (OTP).

Supabase also creates technical account information required for authentication, such as a user ID.

Library backup data

Sampledock creates an automatic cloud backup of your local library database (library.db) using Supabase Storage.

Your audio files are not uploaded to Sampledock. Audio files remain stored locally on your device.

The library database may contain information related to your local sample library, including:

• File names
• Folder names
• Full local file paths
• Sample pack names
• Personal tags
• Favourites
• Technical audio information
• Audio analysis data
• Timestamps
• Waveform data
• Cached metadata from previously indexed files

Full file paths may reveal information about your device's folder structure or username.

We process your data for the following purposes:

• Providing access to the Sampledock application
• Authenticating users
• Synchronizing your library between devices
• Restoring your library after reinstalling Sampledock
• Improving and debugging the alpha version based on tester feedback

Sampledock includes a feedback feature.

When you submit feedback, your message and email address are sent to Joppe Schippers through Resend and delivered to support@sampledock.app.

Feedback messages are only stored for as long as needed during the alpha testing period and are deleted afterwards.

Supabase

Used for:

• Authentication
• Database services
• Storage of library backups

Supabase stores data in the West EU region.

Resend

Used for:

• Sending authentication emails
• Sending feedback messages

Cloudflare

Used for hosting the Sampledock website.

GitHub

Used for distributing Sampledock downloads.

Sampledock does not use analytics services, advertising services, or crash reporting services.

Your account data is stored while your Sampledock account remains active.

If you request account deletion, your account information and associated library backup data will be manually removed.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your library backup is stored securely using Supabase Storage and is linked to your individual account.

Sampledock does not encrypt the library database before upload. Therefore, access controls and security measures provided by our infrastructure providers are used to protect stored data.

Depending on applicable privacy laws, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

• Accessing your data
• Requesting correction of inaccurate data
• Requesting deletion of your data
• Objecting to certain processing activities
